etchings with burnished aquatint, drypoint and engraving, 1799, on laid paper, 74 from the set of eighty (lacking plates 7, 8, 10, 11, 25 and 27), fine impressions printed in warm sepia with rich contrasts and retaining the burnished highlights, from the First Edition of approximately 300 sets, plate 45 before the scratch which appears early in this edition, with margins (some narrower at the right margin), some sheets with a humidity stain at the lower sheet edge, occasional repaired tears in the margins, eight plates with slight touches in pencil, watercolour or brown ink, plates 17 and 35 remargined, the images in generally good condition, bound at the left within mid-19th century Roan-backed paper-covered boards with the title in gilt on the spine (the binding stained and worn) (album)
