Condition: Unframed. Canvas has been mounted on masonite with wooden supports verso. The whole is warping somewhat as the work si unframed there is damage and losses to the edges and the canvas is lifting in some areas. There is allover crazing and also large areas of paint separation. Two pieces of canvas appear to have been joined and so a line/fissure runs horizontally from side to side. Additional vertical cracks run down from the join. Evidence of retouch of forehead/face of figure on right, on much of face/neck of figure in center and on forehead of sleeping child. Additional retouch of a lesser nature scattered throughout, much of the surface appears "skinned or abraded". Generally in reasonable condition given age.
