CATALOGUE NOTE
Konchalovsky spent many summers painting en plein air at Abramtsevo where his friend and fellow Jack of Diamonds member Aristarkh Lentulov (1882-1943) owned a dacha. Abramtsevo, a small village on the outskirts of Moscow, was famous as an artists' colony at the turn of the century.
