Produced between 1864 and 1870, the majority of Moore's revolvers were finished in blue and silver, with an unknown smaller number done in full gold. The barrel and cylinder are marked "MOORE'S PAT FIREARMS Co, BROOKLYN, N.Y." and "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY 5, 1864" respectively, with an acid etched floral scroll pattern on the barrel. An acid etched woodland scene has been executed on half of the cylinder, with the other half featuring a flag motif. The frame features a scroll and punch dot engraving with game bird scenes on the sides, a star bust on a punch dot background on the recoil shields and a line and dash border on the backstrap. Through the combination of methods, the artist has accomplished a sense of depth and level of detail that either technique alone would be hard pressed to replicate. Checkered hammer and trigger, with smooth ivory bird head grips. Full serial number on barrel and partial serial number on the grips (0019), with the frame marked with the last two digits of the serial number ("DC19") under the left grip. In a hardwood case lined with brown velvet and having a cartridge block holding a full 50 rounds.
