Description: Transfer print lithograph on yellowish paper. Signed "Ebarlach" to the lower right, titeled by another hand to the left edge of the sheet. Bequest stamp lower right. With minimal bents. Tiny tears to the right and lower edge. Catalogue raisonné Laur 99 (4) but without signature of Felsing and notwithstanding measurement of the sheet.

Provenance: Ernst Barlach 1870 Wedel - 1938 Güstrow/Mecklenburg Studierte 1888-91 an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Hamburg; anschließend bei Robert Dietz an der Akademie in Dresden. Weiterbildung in Paris 1895/96. Eine lapidare Kürze u. phanasievolle, sensible Ornamente kennzeichnen den Stil Barlachs, der auch als Plastiker, Graphiker u. Dichter wirkte. Er bevorzugte die Darstellung russischer Bauern- u. Bettlertypen sowie als Material Ton u. Holz.
