WHEN EILEEN GRAY RETURNED TO TEMPE A PAILLA IN 1945 THE HOUSE HAD BEEN DEVASTATED. SHE DECIDED TO RE-BUILD IT AND TO CREATE FURNITURE TO REPLACE WHAT HAD BEEN DAMAGED OR STOLEN. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT WAS RESTORED OR DESIGNED AFTER THE WAR.
