Legs are exposed and keyed through the top, they are angled 45 degrees at the corner and shaped at the feet. The top is set for a 10" Grueby tile. The base has double crossed stretchers between the legs. This is one of the earliest pieces of Gustav Stickley, featured in his "New Furniture Catalog No. 1". Missing tile top, has a good deep brown finish and a partial original paper label, #6.
