Early George III Sterling Silver Epergne, hallmarked London, 1762-1763, by William Cripps, the waisted standard decorated with repousse acanthus fronds above pierced scrollwork, and raised on four foliate-scroll legs with pierced feet and separated by openwork rococo-scroll swags, with a central navette-shaped basket with pierced scrollwork sides and rococo-scroll and gadroon rim, each of the legs supporting a double-scroll arm ending in a a circular fluted dish gadrooned en suite, h. 14", w. 24", d. 19", 101.34 t. oz.
