Rare work on alchemy in the middle ages, noteworthy for the numerous examples of alchemical symbols. Apparently the first edition, but a later issue - the Mickl imprint dated 1900 has been pasted over the Graz: Im Verlage der Verfassers, 1899, imprint on the title-page. The final 36 pages comprise the index, in German, Latin, French, English and Italian.
