Notes: The full catalogue information for this lot is as follows: platinum print, initialed 'CHW' by the photographer in red crayon on the image, double-mounted, signed and dated by him in pencil on the second mount, matted, framed, 1910 The photograph offered here of the photographer's son Clarence H. White, Jr., was likely taken White's New York City studio. The photograph dates to 1910, just one year after White opened his well-appointed, sky-lit studio at 5 West 31υst Street. White's The Orchard, 1902 can be seen hanging on the studio wall in the upper left quadrant. The Princeton University Art Museum holds one unmounted platinum print of this image in their collection.
