Produced between 1864 and 1870. Blade front and hammer notch rear sights, marked "MOORE'S PAT. FIRE ARMS CO. BROOKLYN, N.Y." on top of the barrel and "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY 5, 1864" on the rear of the cylinder. The barrel and frame are both finished in silver, with a gold wash on the cylinder. Frame is engraved, including on the side plate screw and recoil shield. Grips are smooth two piece bird's head ivory. Included is a hardwood locking case with purple velvet lining and a cartridge block holding 12 rounds of teat-fire ammunition. Notes from the consignor state that the case is from M.W. Robinson, New York based dealer and Smith & Wesson distributor.
