According to Michael Frost and Douglas Allen, a total of twelve casts of the Big-Horn SHeep were supposedly produced. The Griffoul Foundry created the early versions of the big horn. These were solid sand castings as opposed to Roman Bronze Works's lost wax casting. ( Majesty & Wilderness: Works by Carl Rungius, New York, 1985, pp. 25, 30).
