Carter, Printer, Front St. Portland, Oregon. With imprinted July 19, 1866 date. Image size ca 13.25 x 10.25 in., matted in a period walnut frame 22 x 17 in.
An exceptional, and early, imprint, printed in blue and red, and illustrated with a fine woodcut of a stagecoach. This same sheet is known to have been printed with the same title, substitution "Oregon" for California, and that sheet with a July 20, 1866 publication date. A cornerstone piece for any Western transportation collection.
