Bruno Munari (1907-1998) Set of two important documents signed by one of the foremost protagonist of twentieth century art, design and graphics, with nice autographs made using coloured pencils, both destined to a Finnish publisher. A)Signed autograph letter dated 'Milano,30 Agosto 1972', accompanying a drawing that Munari invia made while talking on the phone. It is a drawing on cardboard (cm. 8.5 x 7.5) showing geometrical motifs made with pen, and applied to an illustrated postcard, with the 'riproduzione di un dipinto negative-positive'. Dated 1951. In the 1950s, the artist oriented his figurative research towards investigating negative-positive relationships (as in photography) and abstract painting that allowed the viewer to imagine which form was the foreground and which was the background. B) Typed one-page letter, 4to with autograph notes dated 1 August 1973, through which the artist answers to a series of questions that his correspondent had asked him, and thanks him for having bought some of his positive-negative works: 'Di opere (nel senso di pitture o sculture) io non ne ho, o meglio non ne faccio più. Attualmente mi occupo di didattica e metodologia del design e insegno allo Scuola Politecnico del Deslgn di Milano (...) Il mio libro ARTE COME MESTIERE è stato stampato anche do Penguin Book, Londra, in lingua inglese - dall'editore Labor in spagnolo - e ultimamente anche è uscito in un edizione giapponese.
