23" L'INTREPIDE R.D. Bte. S.G.D.G. Blue paper weight eyes, CLOSED MOUTH, cork pate, light brown mohair wig, pierced ears (turqoise earrings). Papier mache jointed body with separate hands. Doll is dressed in an antique white drop waist dress with lace and tuck detail. Petticoat and hat both have hand embroidery on them, pantaloons. Ecru lace socks, "11" black leather shoes with pointed toes. Hat has silk ribbon trim. This is a walking doll which was registered on Feb. 4, 1893 by Roullet Decamps. Pat. No. 222661 was issued on June 28, 1892. Condition: small chip on rim edge, otherwise no flaws observed in bisque. Body has been repainted. Shoes and ribbon have age deterioration.
