The spot, which was within walking distance of Champney's studio, depicts the railroad trestle of the old B & M Railroad with Moat Mountain in the distance. Provenance: Estate of the artist, purchased from Champney's niece, Alice Sparks, by Robert Goldberg, North Conway, NH, circa 1950; Charles Vogel, Townsend, MA, 1978.
