Original pictorial wrappers with pasted label on the front wrapper ("Extra Double Number, Fourpence"), later protective chemise. Condition : binding chipped, with repairs to margins and inner hinge. first edition of a work including beardsley's first series of published illustrations . This example is made up from sheets of the original "Programme & Book of Words" for this "Brighton Grammar School Annual Entertainment at the Dome on ... Dec. 19, 1888" added to the February issue of the school magazine. As the contents list on the front wrapper does not refer to the programme (plus the makeshift sticker), it suggests that some copies did not include the added material. Lassner Beardsley 5.
