1494 - 1557 the road to calvary, christ bearing the cross Oil on panel 47.5 by 57.5 cm.; 18 3/4 by 22 1/2 in. Another version of the composition, differing in the omission of the landscape background, was sold London, Christie's, 24 May 1963, lot 67, bought Weitzer. An alternative attribution to Giovanni Battista Bertucci il Vecchio (Faenza 1465/70 - 1516) has been tentatively proposed by Everett Fahy.
