ANTONIO FONTANESI (Italian, 1818-1882) "PUESTA de SOL EN AVIGLIANA". Oil on board early evening landscape shows a grass covered hut with figure outside the small door in a Barbizon type landscape. Sun is setting with a colorful sky. Signed lower right "A. Fontanesi". Housed in its original gilt gesso decorated frame with brass artist and title plaque. Several labels to reverse including "B. Bernasconi Buenos Aires". SIZE: 17-1/4" x 14-1/2". CONDITION: Very good with one small clip to right corner edge. Framed very good with minor corner damage to gesso on frame. 9-73564 LG
