Description: Measuring 2 4/6" across and roughly 2 9/10" in height, the design is the traditional 5 pointed star badge with ball tips. Construction is solid silver, with a deep cut engraved pattern running around the outer edges and tight scroll and textured engraving backing the black enamel writing "CHIEF/ OF/ POLICE/ CLINTON IOWA". The rear face of the badge is inscribed "April 9/ 94". With the badge is a vintage black and white photograph of the Clinton Police, 18 men strong, with the Chief seated front and center, 5-pointed star on his jacket.

Condition: Excellent. The silver is taking on a fine aged patina, darker in the lower areas around the lettering providing an attractive contrast. The photograph is very good, with some material loss at the edges and a few mild tears.
