Mayan Painted Cylinder Vase, Mesoamerica, Late Classic, circa A.D. 550-950, boldly painted in Chama style, depicting an audience scene between an aged lord Itzamna, a young lord, and God K, a large lidded vessel and bundle between them, legible glyph band around rim, in bright orange, light orange, cream and black {Height 7 inches} Provenance: a New York private collection; Sotheby's New York; a private collection, Northern California.
