Vollmers atmospherical paintings of north German landscapes were mainly made around the 1830s, after having returned from Copenhagen, where he studied under Eckersberg. This sheet shows the Elbe lowlands with the spires of Hamburg in the rear. [UB] Condition B. Slight blemishes to margin, such as crease marks and minimal splits, slightly discoloured or light stained.
