A RARE FRANCO LAGINI SILVERPLATE STAG HANDLE COVERED SERVER
Italy, Copyright 1982, Provenance: Mr. and Mrs. Waggoner
"Franco Lagini, Italy, 1982" impressed in script on edge of platter. The hand hammered domed cover is surmounted by an exquisitely cast and chased recumbent stag on a bed of oak branches with acorns plated in a gold tone finish. The platter with wide lip is also hand hammered with the cover fitting into the everted lip. Franco Lagini is know for his hand hammered, silverplated covered lobster servers. This piece is made with the same quality and design.
Overall very good condition.
