Michael Thonet, Vienna 1856 or 1852, lacquered laminated wood, stained and polished beechwood, bent solid wood front legs, (later) canework seat, with impressed mark KKTHONET/1856 and embossed medal, probably an honour awarded on the occasion of an exhibition, height 90 cm, width 41 cm, depth 43 cm, height of seat 46 cm, stamped 1100.
Excellent condition.
This model was first mentioned in 1854.
