Description: LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY each bird perched on a rocky base, with colorful plumage and gilt highlights, the body in reddish orange, the base in brown with white and orange spots. Some wear to colors and gilding, minor imperfection on one beak. height 14 3/4 in. (37.5 cm.) PROVENANCE: Estate of Flora Whitney Miller, Sotheby's, New York, April 11th, 1987, sale 5588, lot 202.
