With stepped and moulded flat top and on integral scroll-sided wall bracket, the 7 1/2 in. square brass dial with cherub mask spandrels to unusual lobed silvered Roman chapter ring signed at top and bottom BARNARD/NEWARK, with alarm-setting disc to the centre and blued steel hand, the weight-driven movement with rectangular plates, verge escapement and strike/alarm on later bell -- 20 1/2 in. (52cm.) high
