Description: A 19th century Chinese carved rhinoceras horn, the length of the blond material pierced and carved with flowering vines, a leaf forming a cup at the wider end, 56cm (22 in.) high Previously longer horns of this type have been described as coming from an African Rhinoceras

Condition: There are some damages and losses below the leaf cup at the wider end. Some pieces have been glued back. The rim of the cup has been nibbled. The pointed end would have stood in a wooden stand wwhich is now lacking
