Description: A Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) Signed Vellum Document, Dated May 11, 1786. As President of the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Signed B. Franklin Presid. upper left below seal, May 11, 1786, A Land Grant Issued to Captain Bernard Hubley (Capt. Hubley was commissioned August 15, 1776, a First Lieutenant in the German Regiment; promoted to Captain on February 24, 1778. He participated, with his regiment, in the battles of Trenton, Princeton, Brandywine, Germantown, Monmouth, Sullivan's expedition against the Indians in 1779, and was retired in 1781. He was made Brigade Ispector of Northumberland County, et., in 1807, and died in 1808). In his last public office, Benjamin Franklin served from October 1785 to October 1788 as President of the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Note condition: All three seals intact, some wrinkling, folds and minor surface wear. With binary frame and matting. h:13 w:16 in.
