This lot includes the three pieces of antique sheet music shown in the corresponding image. These pieces have bright front cover illustrations offering striking images of air flight as it existed in the early part of the twentieth century. The first of these pieces depicts the famous aviator Glenn H. Curtiss piloting a biplane over a large urban area. The piece by Julius K. Johnson is entitled "King of the Air: March and Two Step" (1910). The second is from the time of the First World War and offers a gruesome depiction of air combat, with a plane crashing into a dirigible, airplanes ablaze, and (flaming) bodies falling out of the sky. The piece by J. Luxton is entitled "Battle in the Sky" (1915). The final piece bears the title "Take Me Up with You Dearie" and features a couple flying in a carriage underneath what appears to be a dirigible. Words of this song are by Junie McCree and the music by Albert von Tilzer. The pages of the first are all detached from one another, edges show wear that does not affect illustration or text. Second piece is intact with minor edge wear (top right corner of front cover has been chipped off). The third piece is intact with minor edgewear. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $6.50
