25¢ "GOLDEN FALLS" MILLS SLOT MACHINE. Manufactured from the late 1930's and into the mid-1940's, this handsome as well as classic slot machine featured a large "hand load" jackpot. All too often a player would win the jackpot and it would remain empty for a period of time. Mills' answer to this dilemma would be for the owner/operator to physically reload the jackpot, thus encouraging further player participation. Castings are attractively painted in hammered gold and black crackle, sides and base are finished in hammered gold.
