  • Wellers Auctioneers are historically linked to the famous Surrey livestock auction markets of Guildford and Farnham. Senior Auctioneer Glen Snelgar joined Weller Eggar the livestock auctioneers and Land Agents in 1975. During the 1980's he built up the thriving machinery and furniture auctions at the Guildford Cattle Market

Following several corporate takeovers, the failing of the British livestock industry in the 90's and the redevelopment of Guildford Cattle Market in 2000, Glen and Managing Director Chris Sykes relocated the non livestock business to Chertsey with a new strategic objective of developing the General, Antique and Plant & Machinery Auctions.

Since 2000 the team at Wellers have built up a thriving business at the Guildford Street premises in Chertsey. Although the popularity of the Fine Art Auctions continued, the underlying success story at Chertsey has been the growth of the Tuesday general auctions which now specialises in warehouse retail returns and lost property.

Our key staff maintain the auctioneering skills and management expertise to sell "anything, anywhere, anytime". Specialist on-site auctions continue to be arranged on client premises throughout the country.

We pride ourselves on our professional expertise, integrity and our skilled auctioneers ability to sell many thousands of lots per week whilst securing the highest prices for our clients.
