These sales are held over Saturday and/or Sunday at our Kensington Gallery 89 Anzac Pde Kensington Sydney.
Items we've received over the month are categorised and catalogued in preparation for sale.
Our catalogue is posted online Wednesday prior to the sale. Noteworthy items are accompanied by images. Alternatively a printed copy of the catalogue can be purchased from our offices during viewing and on auction days.
The term ‘Antique & General’ refers to a large assortment of modern, vintage & antique ceramics, glass, silver, collectables, affordable art, jewellery, oriental art, furniture and miscellanea. The sale usually consists of 800+ lots.
Exceptional pieces from the above mentioned categories constitute the 'Fine Arts' sale. Items are selected based on quality, rarity, age and condition. Fine Arts sales will generally consist of 500+ lots and prices range from hundreds to hundreds of thousands.
Sale items can be viewed on the preceding Friday between 10am & 5pm. Additionally, ‘Antiques & General’ are available for viewing before the auction commences on Saturday. ‘Fine Arts’ are on view all day Saturday and again on Sunday before the auction begins. On both days, doors open at 10am and the sale starts at 10 or 11 (check current sale information).
We also hold 'Special Interest' sales when the quantity and calibre of goods are available; These specialised sales have acheived remarkable results in the past, partly due to being broadcast live over the internet via www.artfact.com & www.invaluable.com, making online bidding possible from anywhere in the world.
