Swann Galleries, the largest specialist auctioneers of “Works on Paper” in the world, was founded in 1941 by Benjamin Swann as an auction house specializing in Rare and Antiquarian Books.
Over the decades our business has expanded into related fields, and we now conduct an average of 40 sales a year encompassing Books, Vintage Posters, Prints & Drawings, Photographs, Autographs and Maps; as well as special-subject sales devoted to African-Americana and Magic.
All of the material Swann offers is on consignment and comes from diverse sources around the world.
