The firm is directly derived from a family partnership started in the 19th century. Portrait of a lady with blue bird in sky, part of a series of Saints, believed to represent St Joan and to be based on a portrait of Caitlin Thomas, Wife of Welsh Writer and Poet Dylan Thomas. Research suggests this painting was made during the couples honeymoon in Cornwall during 1937 when records show that the Artist met the couple. Canvas - 30” x 20”.
