  Antiques often fetch higher prices and attract more public interest when kept together as a collection and especially when the viewing and auction is held on site. Whilst the entire event cannot always be held at an owners property it is important to explore the options first as it can have a great effect on the results.
  Major single owner auction sales managed by Mossgreen Auctions to date include:
  
  The Ray Mitchell and Julian Sterling auction in February 2007 where the sale total was an Australian record for any antiques auction at 4.4 million against a pre-sale estimated total of 2.1 million. Many individual Australian auction records were set for Asian Art at this auction.
  
  The Golden Crust Bakery Collection in July 2006 for Peta and Edward Clarke, which also doubled the owner’s expectations
  
  “An Important Collection of Australian and International Art” in February 2006, Sydney, where we generated approximately $1.2 million in sales for an almost total clearance rate by value and the closing stock in trade of Graham Cornall Antiques of Melbourne which we marketed as “The Modern Collector” where we generated approximately 1 million dollars in sales at about 100% sold by value.
