  A Brief History...

  Founded in 1900, Ibbett Mosely is one of the oldest and best-known firms of Estate Agents, Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers and Valuer's in the Kent, Sussex and Surrey region.

   

  Ibbett Mosely have 12 partners and approaching 80 managers, consultants and staff. Despite our growth our aim is always to give independent advice and personal service. Our staff are professionals who are committed to the business and supported by a highly experienced and motivated management.

   

  Our Auctioneers and Valuers department although a lot smaller, is run to the same high standard as that of the rest of the company.

  Derek Hodge has been with Ibbett Mosely since 1959 working up to become Auctioneer and Chief Valuer. He took over from Ernest Burnham in 1980, who held the position here since the mid forties.

   

  Valuation Days

  Probate Valuations

  We aim to provide a fast and efficient service for executors. A formal detailed inventory and valuation is prepared, naming all items of significant value and any specific bequests.

   

  In the event of executors wishing to dispose of some or all of the chattels involved in an estate, Ibbett Mosely provides a complete sales service. Collection of the items is arranged and catalogued, together with photographs where appropriate, for inclusion in the following sale as arranged.

   

  It may be necessary for us to take photographs during the valuation this is just for record, as sometimes it is vital to do further research to reach a current value, or it may be that the item is particularly unusual.

  Insurance Valuations

   

  A detailed inventory and valuation is provided, giving an overall total for the entire contents of the more significant pieces. This can include photographs if required.

  Valuation Days

  Our valuation days are held at The Club Room, Bromley Parish Church , of St. Paul and St. Peter.

  There is no charge for this service. Refreshments will be available.

  Venue

  Auctions are held in the Otford village memorial hall, in the village of Otford , which is approximately three miles to the north of Sevenoaks. The hall is situated in the centre of the village, with ample parking facilities adjoining the hall.

  Refreshments are available during the viewing and throughout the sale.

  Otford is a lively village, which has a variety of small shops and a number of public houses and restaurants serving food and drink

  The village of Otford is conveniently located near to the motorway network, accessing the M25, M26, as well as the A21 and the A25.
