Description: We are pleased to offer this Antique Georgian Mourning Brooch c. 1830-1840. Carved Shell in a gold setting. Setting is 10k or 12K. This is a beautifully Carved very Ornate and Unusual Mourning Brooch. A woman is waiting outside for her loved one to come back. These were often worn on a black ribbon. 1" long, missing the pin back. Does have some depth to the back and may have held a lock of hair with a glass cover at one time. A nice addition to a cameo collection .Part of a large 40 year private estate collection of Victorian, Art Nouveau, Deco and Vintage Jewelry we will be selling this auction. Lot 18: L18 VINTAGE 1920S RARE MORIYAMA RED WILLOW SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS

Description: We are pleased to offer this rare set of Salt amd Pepper Shakers from Moriyama Japan. There are no chips or cracks in these rare vintage shakers. They are in good condition with age expected crazing and the cork plug in the bottom of one is missing. These are in traditional Japanese willow design of that period. Old Red Willow pieces have become very hard to find and date 1920-1930, with one shaker appearing older than the other. Mix with traditional Blue Willow pieces for a fabulous table setting. Long ago, in the days when China was ruled by emperors, a Chinese mandarin, Tso Ling, lived in the magnificent pagoda under the branches of the apple tree on the right of the bridge, over which droops the famous willow tree, and in front of which is seen the graceful lines of the fence. Tso Ling was the father of a beautiful girl, Kwang-se, who was the promised bride of an old but wealthy merchant. The girl, however, fell in love with Chang, her father's clerk. The lovers eloped across the sea to the cottage on the island. The mandarin pursued and caught the lovers and was about to have them killed when the gods transformed them into a pair of turtle doves. These are seen gazing into each other's eyes at the top of the design. A lengthy and old Staffordshire poem of the pattern concludes with the verse: "In the oft quoted plate two birds are perceived, High in the heaven above: These are the spirits of Chang and Kwang-se, A twin pair of ever in love". Description: We are please to offer this Luzianne 3 Pound 1920's-30's Luzianne coffee and chicory tin can that has the image of a beautiful, black mammy serving coffee on both sides. This is a hard to find Original, not a newer reproduction. A great addition to your collection of vintage advertising tins, or Black Americana. This one is the large, 3 pound size. It measures 7 1/4" inches tall, by 6 inches in diameter. This can is priced over $100 below book, because of its condition. The good news is that it has its original lid, there are no holes, and it displays well. There is a fair amount of rust and it is missing it's handle. On the bottom of the can is, "Luzianne 100% Good". All original, as found, with NO touchups, or cleaning attempted.
