Description: THE HIGHGATE HILL TRAMWAYS LIMITED 1d buff punch type geographical TRAM TICKET for the journey Archway Tavern to Highgate and vice versa in excellent condition. This was a 3' 6" gauge cable drawn tramway opened in May 1884 and closed in August 1909. This ticket was issued after August 1896 when the company assumed the "Limited" company status which followed a period of insolvency incurred by the Highgate Hill Tramway Company. (1)
