Description: English School early 19th Century - Miniature portrait of Captain Edward Hill, 28th Regiment of Foot (North Gloucestershire Regt), head and shoulders, sky background, oval 6.5cm, together with a miniature portrait of Captains Hill's wife, Sarah, nee Edwards, one other contemporary miniature of a lade and two miniatures of girls (5). * Captain Edward Hill was killed at Waterloo. The 28th Regiment of Foot (North Gloucestershire Regt) fought at Quatre Bras and Waterloo as part of the 8th Infantry Brigade commanded by General Sir Thomas Picton.
