Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data
Description: Victoria Cross interest. Tribute medal with Tommy charging with Rifle and Bayonet to obverse and reverse engraved "For gallantry" "Cpl H Day VC Suffolk Regt" Corporal Day was a Norwich man and whilst the medal is currently unidentified, we believe it is a privately presented Tribute medal and as such is a rare link to a local VC recipient. A fine portrait of him is in the Suffolk Regt 1914- 18 History and much more detail is to be found on the internet about him. A most desirable and researchable item. His VC group has never appeared on the market and is believed still to be in private hands. GVF
