We have two rarities from the Sherman-Howland-Lawton Family of Newport Rhode Island, to include a highly refined solid cherry bonnet top shell carved Queen Anne highboy and an extremely rare three drawer walnut Chippendale Newport writing table in the manner of Goddard and Townsend. A first time offering of OOC - 'ARMY OF THE POTOMAC AT CUMBERLAND LANDING ON THE PEMUNKY RIVER VA, MAY 1862', FROM A SKETCH, SIGNED LR 'J. HOPE, CAPT 2ND VT INFANTRY 1864. From two local Maine families, two amazing Prior-Hamblen portraits: a full size double portrait of the Carr family children and their dog, and Captain Fletcher of Islesboro Maine. From Vinalhaven, a rare triple memorial portrait on wood of the Durand family children attr. to George Whiting Flagg 1832.
