Description: A mahogany, parcel gilt and fret carved secretaire cabinet, in George III style, the dentil moulded architectural cornice with outset corners, above a band of blind fret carved decoration, the mirrored door within a carved gilt border enclosing shelves and small drawers, the top and base flanked by turned columns carved with ribbons, trailing leaves and flowers and with brass capitals headed by blind fret carved blocks, the moulded base with outset corners, the secretaire drawer with pigeon holes and drawers above three long drawers, on blind fret carved bracket feet, 227.5cm high, 106cm wide, 58.5cm deep. May have added elements of recent construction.
