Description: Wayne Henderson Handcrafted D-18 Guitar Made from mahogany and spruce. If you have any questions about the guitar, you may call Wayne at 276-579-4531. The newest photos posted are the actual finished Wayne Henderson makes highly sought-after guitars in his shop in southwest Virginia. Wayne doesn't have a web site, but you can reach him by phone at 276-579-4531. To learn more about the Wayne Henderson Music Festival and Guitar Competition go to www.Waynehenderson.org. Wayne Henderson and his guitars need little introduction these days. Having built for an army of the best players in the world, both in the southeast where we live and for big names like Eric Clapton, his guitars are now legendary. But why? Tone, that's why. No maker reaches the highest levels without killer tone. The HoustonFest D-18 style Mahogany is his most popular seller. Wayne is pictured with his own well-played spruce top D-18 which is giving its all, and it is extremely loud and clear as a bell.

Steve Huber Handcrafted Heritage Banjo

Lot 2: Steve Huber Handcrafted Heritage Banjo

Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Description: Steve Huber Handcrafted Heritage Banjo HoustonFest will have at auction the latest Huber banjo model, the Heritage. The banjo is currently being crafted by Steve Huber. It is a Model HTG-3, Huber "Vintage Flathead" tone ring, Huber 3-ply maple rim, mahogany neck and resonator, nickel plated hardware, single white binding, double cut peghead, ebony finger board, flying eagle inlay patter and Huber head and bridge The story of Huber Banjos is essentially the story of Steve Huber, who developed a passion for bluegrass music and playing the five string banjo as a teenager. Aside from his schooling in mechanical engineering and training as a machinist, Steve Huber had many years' experience as a lead engineer in fast-paced, assembly line manufacturing, where both the highest standards of quality control and strict adherence to production numbers are required. He was determined to find a way to meld the attention to detail inherent in crafting fine instruments with his experience in production line manufacturing to cut the building and assembly time down to a matter of a few weeks for each new banjo. Just read what Sonny Osborne had to say, "The Steve Huber tone ring is like taking a step back into 1934. Someone finally did it right, Steve being that someone. Every step is right. All the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted. You can't go wrong with the Huber ring." To learn more about the story of the Huber Banjo, go to http://huberbanjos.com/
