Sale Notes:

This is indeed an auction of historic proportions. The diversity, quality, rarity and value offered in this presentation represents one of the finest auctions our firm or any firm has presented in many, many years. Session 1 will include The President Theodore Roosevelt Fox shotgun, which is probably the most historic and most valuable American shotgun ever offered at public sale. This gun and Theodore Roosevelt himself personified much of what is important to any sportsman or conservationist today and certainly should be considered a national treasure. Also included: Rare Class III arms; 20th century military arms; Modern arms from famous personage such as a Colt automatic and a guitar, etc., once the property of Hank Williams, Sr.; a pr. of holsters and rig used in one of Kevin Costner's early movies, Silverado; a number of guns from the famous actor David Carradine; the Roosevelt Fox shotgun; engraved Model 21 built for automobile magnate, Walter Chrysler; rare Marlin collection of the late Richard Rohal; 1972 vintage Russian MIG-21. Session 2 will include the David Crocker Coll.; Winchesters incl a pristine M1873 1 of 100 Rifle, perhaps the Finest Known and 20 Brass guns; Colts including two Texas Patersons; many presentation Colts; Martial SAAs; Henrys; Sharps; Kentucky rifles and early militia muskets and pistols, fine early cased flint and percussion arms; Civil War items including examples from the Fred Edmunds Coll.; very rare LeMats, a number of important Confederate pistols including Dance, Clark & Sherrard, Tucker & Sherrard, etc., Confederate and Union swords, presentation, rare slave tags, rare First National Confederate Flag "Victory or Death"; important historical items, an Adolph Hitler signed letter dated 1919; Wild Bill Hickok signed letter; Kit Carson signed letter; advertising items including Winchester & Remington; a very early scrimshawed powder horn and a 1973 Corvette L82 350 V-8 Coup.
