Description: TOWER ENFIELD RIFLED MUSKET.Civil War Era, 58 caliber, 39" round barrel, 3 barrel band, flip up long range rear sight, brass end cap, butt and trigger guard. Stamped Tower 1862, a Crown, V.R. on lockplate.
Condition Report: Bore is clean with good rifling, strong action. Metal is steel colored and shiny. 3 proofmarks and 25 on left side of barrel. Small crown and letter on top of barrel just in front of hammer. Steel ramrod, old dings in dark patina wood. L.S.M. stamped into lower tang on wrist. Tiny piece of metal imbeded in stock, left side.
