Description: CRICKET: A good 8vo sheet of notepaper from the Kennington Oval, London, individually signed by ten Surrey and Kent cricketers comprising John Shuter (1855-1920, England & Surrey Captain), Edwin Diver (1861-1924, Surrey), Charles Horner (1857-1925, Surrey), William Patterson (1859-1946, Kent), Cecil Wilson (1860-1941, Kent), Monty Bowden (1865-1892, England Captain & Surrey; a rare signature), William Roller (1858-1949, Surrey), Francis Marchant (1864-1946, Kent), Edmund Tylecote (1849-1938, England & Kent) and Lord Harris (1851-1932, England Captain & Kent). Neatly laid down to a folio page removed from an album alongside three individual signed pieces by Walter Reed (1855-1907, England & Surrey), Ivo Bligh (1859-1927, England & Kent) and Kingsmill Key (1864-1932, Surrey). The page is neatly annotated in the hand of a collector indicating that the signatures were obtained at a cricket match between Surrey and Kent on 27th, 28th & 29th August [1883]. Rare.
