Lot 1: Superb Cased Blunt & Syms Underhammer Percussion Pepperbox

Description: .31 caliber, 5" six shot barrel cluster. This underhammer ring trigger pepperbox features lovely loose flowing scroll engraving on the frame in about full coverage. The condition of the gun is spectacular. The ribbed barrels retain about 95% strong original blue finish with the nipples showing nearly all of their straw colored hardened finish. The frame shows a little flaking but still retains 60 - 70% bright original blue with the flaked areas bearing a perfect smooth brown patina. The ring trigger and hammer retain lots of original fire blue. The bag shaped walnut grips rate excellent with 97% original finish remaining. The face of the muzzle is marked "PM" and "6" over a dot and the barrel cluster retaining screw retains lots of bright fire blue but does show a little slot wear. The pepperbox comes in its original red baize mahogany case with compartments which house the original cleaning / ramrod, leather covered two compartment powder flask, three cavity mould with nipple wrench and turn screw on end of each handle. The condition of the case and accessories is excellent with the lining faded to an attractive antique pink color. The lock catch is missing from lid as is the lock escutcheon on front of case. Lot 2: Massachusetts Arms Company Percussion Single Shot Pistol

Description: serial #62, .31 caliber, 2 1/2" part round part octagon barrel. This scarce little pistol remains in very nice original condition. The barrel retains about 70% original blue finish with areas of loss bearing a pleasing smooth brown patina. The frame retains about 25% original blue finish with the balance bearing a pleasing smooth gray brown patina. The left side of the frame shows lovely 19th century factory scroll engraving. The tape primer door also shows factory scroll engraving and retains about 60% bright original fire blue. The hammer shows strong original color case-hardened finish. The two piece rosewood grips rate excellent with 95% original finish remaining. The left grip panel had a large section that is much lighter in color, this is sapwood, it is not a repair, the left panel is one piece of wood. A very nice example of these scarce and cute little antique American pistols. [Note: There is a Mass Arms .31 caliber mould and small flask in the silent auction] (15588-2) {ANTIQUE}

Lot 3: Winchester Model 64 Deluxe Rifle

Description: serial #1714924, 30-30, 24" round barrel with a 2/3 magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is a very clean model 64 rifle. Metal surfaces of rifle retain about 99% original blue finish. The checkered pistolgrip walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent retaining 98% original finish and with strong sharp checkering. The rifle features standard hooded ramp front and open rear sporting sights and comes with correct detachable sling swivels. (15444-15) {C&R}

Lot 4: Colt Single Action Army Second Generation Revolver

Description: serial #57658SA, 45 LC, 7 1/2" barrel with a mint bore. The barrel, ejector rod housing, cylinder and grip frame retain 98% original blue finish with only noticeable loss being on muzzle and a little along the periphery of the cylinder. The frame retains 98% original color case-hardened finish which has mellowed slightly but remains quite vivid. The sides of hammer show very slight staining which could be easily remedied. The checkered hard rubber eagle grips rate mint. The revolver comes in its original stagecoach box with warranty card and instruction sheet. The condition of the box is near excellent with one separated corner on lid. Revolver comes with factory letter confirming the configuration and showing shipment to Conlin Bros. Sporting Goods in Whittier, CA on October 14, 1970. Investment quality. (15506-30) {C&R}

Lot 5: Colt Model 1908 pocket Hammerless .380 Pistol

Description: serial #7179, 380 ACP, 3 3/4" barrel with a mint bore. This early high polish blue pistol is in very minty condition. Metal surfaces of pistol retain 98 - 99% original blue finish. The fire blue on the slide stop/safety, trigger and rear sight remains brilliant. The checkered hard rubber grips rate excellent plus. The pistol comes in its original box which is numbered in pencil on bottom and with good end label. The box rates about good overall with an end flap of lid missing and with lid having come detached. This box could be restored and made much nicer with little effort. Pistol comes with factory letter which confirms the configuration and shows shipment to Schwabacher Hardware Co., in Seattle on January 31, 1911. A lovely, investment quality Colt pistol.
