TRAY American, ca. 1905 'CHAMPAGNE VELVET BEER' ; the round copper alloy sign in the shape of a large charger with a humorous lithographic scene of formally dressed late 18th century men and women being served beer by four cherubs floating above them; hanging wire on the reverse; small rust spots across front surface. The Terrre Haute Brewing Co., Terre Haute, Indiana, was founded in 1837; the Champagne Velvet brand name appeared in 1904. 24 x 24 x 2 inches.
