Lot 1: An emerald and diamond dress ring.

Description: An emerald and diamond dress ring. The oval-shape emerald to the baguette-cut diamond line sides and brilliant-cut diamond shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Weight 2.5gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good. There are slight scratches to the ring in keeping with minor wear. The emerald is a pale bluish green with a wear saturation of colour, there are easily visible internal white fractures, some are reaching the table facet, the facet edges appear quite rounded. The diamonds are bright, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. The band is angular in shape. Inner band stamped 14K. Ring size M1/2. Description: A late 19th century 15ct gold gem set ring.The two rectangular-shape emeralds with pear-shape purple gem sides, to the seed pearl surround and engraved band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1924. Weight 2.1gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good to fair with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear and age of piece. The emeralds show some surface abrasion, with small nibbles to some outer facets, one slightly more oval in shape. The purple gem show some surface abrasion to facet edges, with possible replacement with one. The seed pearls fairly well matched , some later replacements, most with surface blemishes. Ring size P.

Description: An early 20th century continental 14ct gold diamond and emerald brooch. Designed as a coiled line, with old-cut diamond and rectangular-shape emerald terminals. Length 4cms. Weight 4.5gms.
Condition Report: The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The pin is a base metal replacement. The diamond appears bright, estimated diamond weight 0.05ct. The diamond is too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Description: A late Victorian 18ct gold opal and diamond dress ring. The three oval opal cabochons, with old-cut diamond double spacers, to the scrolling gallery and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct, I-J colour, SI2-P2 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1897. Weight 6.7gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. The opals have a white body colour, displaying oranges, blues and greens, there is heavy abrasion and a chip to the central opal. The diamonds are bright, there is a surface reaching fracture to one of the outer diamonds and some significant chips to one of the spacer diamonds. Some settings may need to be secured.
