Description: ***INLAID SCHRANK. Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, dated 1765, walnut. lnlaid with stars on the two doors and "Geo.R. 1765" for George Rahn on the cornice. "Knock-down" type with two dovetailed drawers and interior divider. Bun feet. Imperfections. 79 1/4"h. 59"w. Purchased from the Rahn family at a George Merril Auction (Maine) in 1987; sold at Pook and Pook (Pennsylvania), February 2003, lot 205.
Condition Report: 29 1/2"d. at cornice. The brasses and the hinges have been replaced. There are alterations. Overall reduced in size; feet older but not original, some backboard replaced, some pieces of applied moldings replaced, drawers possibly rebuilt, interior shelves missing. Description: DECORATED PAINTER'S BOX. Massachusetts, late 19th century, pine. Dovetailed box with original paint, consisting of a harbor scene on the lid with an eagle holding a banner reading "William L. Talbot Painter & Glazier" and a landscape vignette on the front, all against a faux oak-grained ground. 8"h. 16 1/2"w. 9"d. Sold at CRN Auctions (Cambridge, Massachusetts), November 2002, lot 136. William L. Talbot was born in New Hampshire in 1821 and in the 1880 Federal Census, is listed as a painter in Dracut, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

Lot 5: MOCHA PITCHER.

Description: MOCHA PITCHER. England, 2nd quarter-19th century. Fine example with bands of cat's-eyes above and below a central band with tulips. Minor imperfections. 7 3/4"h.
Condition Report: Small edge flakes, hairline. The hairline is approximately 3" long that starts at the rim. There is a flake on the spout and one on the rim. There is also a couple of glaze inperfections. One is on the handle and the other on the side in the stem of the tulip. All can be seen in the photos.
